THE MINISTER OF WORKS, HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT URGES FOR PEACE AND STABILITY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIA


The Minister of Works, Housing and Urban Development, Dr Hassan Muhammad Lawal, CON, has charged Nigerians to imbibe and maintain the culture of peace and stability for sustainable national growth and development.



Dr. Hassan said this on Tuesday 29th December, 2009, when he received the Director of Veteran Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Brigadier-General John Sabo Kwabe in his Mabushi, Abuja office; during which the Minister was decorated with the 2010 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem.

The Minister emphasized the need for mutual coexistence between and amongst Nigerians so as to ensure the development of this great nation so that the fallen heroes who died in the service of this great nation would not have done so in vain.

Earlier, the Director of Veteran Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Brigadier-General John Sabo Kwabe, who led the delegation that decorated the Honourable Minister, Permanent Secretary and Directors in the Ministry, pointed out that the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations are very essential aspects of honouring and remembering the fallen heroes of this great nation.
